2本の螺旋階段に絡まる住室と新しいシェアリングの形態
二面の生活道路に接道し北側にもゆとりある私道を抱えた東京都板橋区の住宅街に建つシェアハウスの計画である。18の住室と入居者同士の交流が自然と繰り広げられる共用スペースが与条件として設定された。1ヶ月限定居住という運営がなされ、居住者が常に入れ替わりながらコミュニティが拡がっていくシェアードスペースの新たな形を目指す建築である。
18の住室と豊かな共用スペースを最大限に得るため、二本の螺旋階段を骨格とした吹抜空間を中心に据え、各住室と水廻りなどの諸機能が外周に絡まりつく機能配置とした。居住者の生活動線がすべて大きな体積を持つ吹抜として中央に存在することで、使い方に自由度と弾力を持つシェアードスペースが立ち現れた。片方が二重に重ねられたテキスタイルにより緩やかに分節された2つの階段は1ヶ月限定で入れ替わる居住者達の男女別やグループなど様々な使い方の仕切りとして柔らかく機能する。「さざえ堂」のように階段状にループする形態が外部にそのまま表出され、4階共用スペースまで半層づつずれながら地続きに繋がっている。
4階共用スペースの外壁を外周から2m程度セットバックを行いテラスを配置したことで、住宅地の近隣建物のボリュームから逸脱せずにかつプライバシーが保たれた空間である。居住者たちは好んでこの場所で長時間滞在できる。さまざまなグループでの利用を想定しキッチンも2箇所配置し柔軟性を持った場所となっている。空間を最大限有効利用でき、かつモジュールに規定されない空間を満足するため、無柱、無梁で偏平な壁式構造とした。中央の吹抜を守るように立ち上がる幹のような筒状体をセンターコアとし段状部分を梁要素として一体で計算を行うことで、中央の吹抜コアから個室群の床スラブと立上がりをすべてキャンティレバーで持ち出すことで、段状スラブの形態を外部にそのまま表出している。この建築が時を経るごとに多くの人びとの1ヶ月の思い出を生み出すことを願っている。
Residential rooms entwined in two spiral staircases and a new form of sharing
This is a plan for a share house in a residential area of Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, which is bordered by roads on two sides and a private road on the north side. 18 rooms and a common space where residents can interact with each other naturally were set as the prerequisites for this project. The architecture aims to create a new form of shared space where the community expands as the residents are constantly changing. In order to maximize the number of 18 dwelling units and the abundance of shared space, an atrium space with a double spiral staircase as its framework was placed at the center of the building, and each dwelling unit and various functions such as water supply are intertwined around the perimeter of the building in a functional layout. By placing all the residents' lifelines in the center of the large-volume atrium, a shared space emerges that offers flexibility and flexibility in use. The two staircases, one of which is gently divided by a double-layered textile, softly function as partitions for the various uses of the residents, who change by gender or group, and are only allowed to use the staircases for a month at a time. The staircase, which loops like a staircase in the shape of a "sazae-do," is directly exposed to the outside, and is connected to the common space on the fourth floor by a half-layered staircase. The outer wall of the common space on the fourth floor is set back about 2 meters from the perimeter, and a terrace has been arranged to provide privacy without deviating from the volume of the neighboring buildings in the residential area. Residents like to stay here for long periods of time. Two kitchens have been placed to provide flexibility for use by various groups of people. In order to maximize the effective use of the space and to satisfy the space not being defined by modules, a flat wall structure with no columns or beams was adopted. The cylindrical trunk-like structure rising up to protect the central atrium is used as the center core, and the stepped portion is calculated as a beam element as an integral part. It is hoped that this architecture will generate memories of a month in the lives of many people over time.
